We started to read Michael Morpurgo's work in November, and now we are starting "War Horse". We are looking forward to reading this book because of all the good comments we have heard about it. We each got a booklet with questions to increase our reading skills. Every day we will read a chapter or more and answer questions on it. Michael Morpurgo's work inspires us to read more and to expand our imaginations to the world.

Our class read Hansel and Gretel by the Grimmes brothers. Then we read The magic circle by Donna Jo Napoli. It was about the witch's prospective. We got inspired to write our own Hansel and Gretel stories from someone else's prospective. I liked it because we could decide who was the bad guy and who got killed. I think it would be a great idea to do it because it helps you with your English and it gets your imaginations juices flowing
We did projects on the Romans. Our teacher split us up into twos and threes. We had one full week to gather information on the Romans. We could include different topics such as Italy as a country, their entertainment (gladiators),religion architure profile: Paul Klee Address: born in Switzerland lived in the country side born: 1879-1940 He is an abstract painter we did our own abstract paints and in our paintings we talked about tints we had to use only three colours and if we wanted to make them light we added white and we also did drawings We thought this was very useful for when you only have a few colours here are some of our drawings. Our classroom had a sale in our shop on the Friday before our midterm, because we were doing percentages in Maths we had a sale to work out how much different items in the shop would cost after we applied the percentage that was off it. We thought it was helpful because it showed us that Maths can be used on a daily basis. So today we are starting a football tournament called Longwood Townland League
